Description

The GSA is seeking information regarding availability and capability of businesses qualified to provide wind turbines with the following salient characteristics: 100 kW Direct Drive Digital system which does not require additional over-speed components Approximately 150 feet in height Heated nacelle Compatible with harsh winter climates typical at the U.S./Canadian Border The only known source at this time for wind turbines with these salient characteristics is Northern Power Systems, Barre, VT. Interested parties shall provide sufficient technical literature, documents, etc in order for the Government evaluation team to make an adequate technical assessment as to whether the product meets technical acceptability. Interested parties must also demonstrate they are capable of providing a complete warranty for the wind turbine. In the event no information is received for a wind turbine which meets the outlined salient characteristics, the GSA intends to proceed with acquisition of a complete wind turbine system, which includes two100 kW direct drive wind turbine manufactured by Northern Power. The installation and integration of the wind turbines will be competed among certified installers for Northern Power.
