Description
This is a notice of intent that WR-ALC anticipates issuing a firm-fixed price, C-type contract for the procurement of engineering services in accordance with Performance Based Statement of Work to provide integrated logistics support for Aircraft Gun Systems, Bomb Rack/Release Systems, and Small Arms. Description: WR-ALC/GBLC, Robins Air Force Base, Georgia, requires contractor support to meet United States Air Force (USAF) customer requirements in the areas of Program Management, Logistics, Technical, Engineering, Configuration Management, Item Management, Financial, LAN operations, and Information Technology (IT) for Aircraft Gun Systems, Bomb Rack/Release Systems, and Small Arms (ground weapons). Aircraft Gun Systems, Bomb Rack/Release Systems, and Small Arms are defined as all aircraft gun and bomb rack/release systems used on A-10, AC-130, B-1, B-2, B-52, F-14, F-15, F-16, F/A-18, F-22, H-1, H-53, and H-60 aircraft; USAF small arms including pistols, machine guns, shotguns, rifles, grenade launchers, and mortars. The tasks listed in this PWS require an in-depth understanding of Robins AFB policies and procedures and a working knowledge of the guidelines and procedures used throughout DoD. Thorough knowledge and experience with Armament Systems, Small Arms and associated automated systems which are used to enter and extract data, are required in order to complete many of the tasks. The basic period of performance will be 6 months after receipt of contract with an additional 3 month option. The approximate solicitation issue date will be 28 Nov 2009 with the approximate response date of 27 Dec 2009. The solicitation will be available for viewing or downloading at www.fedbizopps.gov only and will be issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP). This acquisition is restricted to: Chenega Advanced Solutions and Engineering, LLC 5700 Lake Wright Drive Suite 203 Norfolk, VA 23502 (Cage Code: 1Y7N7, DUNS: 113008432). Authority 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1), "The property or services needed by the agency are available from only one responsible source or only from a limited number of responsible sources and no other type of property or services will satisfy the needs of the agency."
