Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) Richmond, Virginia is seeking potential sources to provide on-site Physicist Services. Contractor shall provide physics and radiation safety support. Contractor shall be Joint Commission accredited and able to furnish a copy of the documentation. Physicists must be certified by the American Board of Radiology. Contractor monitoring includes: Physics support, Mammography support, MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) support, personnel monitoring, Nuclear Medicine support, National Health Physics Program and Nuclear Regulatory commission compliance, therapy procedures compliance, radioactive waste monitoring and research laboratories support. Contract will report to the Chief of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine Service. The services require the expertise of a qualified Radiation Physics Specialist. The contractor is responsible for professional direction of all aspects of medical center radiation safety and for maintaining a current license. Physicist shall possess the professional qualifications and experience to be designated as the Medical Centers Radiation Safety Officer and will be responsible with their staff for coordinating any inspection by a regulatory body. The VA is seeking potential sources to provide these services. The NAICS code for this procurement will be 541990, Standard size $7.0M.
