Description
This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the Internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Naval Sea Systems Command. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) intends to procure three (3) manufacturing grade work stations for Building 130 located at 6043 Jarrett's Place, Dahlgren, VA 22448-2410. Each work station shall be of a modular design to foster future reconfigurations. The defined available working floor space is approximately 40 feet x 29 feet. Please note all proposed configurations shall incorporate handicap accessibility and promote work cell flow design. Each work station shall meet the following minimal requirements: 1)Operator working surface area shall be adjustable in height between 28" and 36" to adapt to the physical characteristics of the operator. 2)Working surface areas shall be targeted at 60 Ft^2 +/- 2 Ft^2. 3)Working surface area shall be at a minimum 1 " thick and made up of solid hardwood. 4)Working surface area shall withstand a 1,000 lb load capacity per sub-assembly.5)Working stations shall incorporate approximately 33 Ft^2 of upper level storage.6)Upper storage area shall be of a laminate material.7)Work stations shall be equipped with the following utility accessories:a.Task lighting shall be mounted at the top of the workstation approximately forty-eight inches (48") above the working surface area, as required, and extend beyond the upper shelf to ensure adequate work surface area lighting.b.Florescent lighting is acceptable and shall provide direct task lighting for a minimum of 80% of the working surface area.c.Work stations shall be equipped with a surge protected power bar system. This system shall incorporate a 15 foot long 120V, 20Amp power cord fitted with a 5-20P Straight Blade plug. Power Bar shall consist of a minimum of fourteen (14) 5-15R receptacles.d.Work station shall incorporate a manifold to facilitate hand tools requiring the following utilities: Compressed Air operating pressure 110psi, gas and vacuum.8)Work station parts storage bins shall be suspended above the surface working area and below the upper storage shelving system. The storage system shall incorporate an interchangeable design accepting two size bins.a.Storage bins "A" shall have a load capacity of 10 Lbs and approximately the following outside physical attributes: 7 3/8" Long, 4 1/8" Wide and 3" Deep. In addition the portion of the storage bin that is accessible by the operator shall be partially open in the front to foster quick retrieval of parts.b.Storage bins "B" shall have a load capacity of 50 Lbs and approximately the following outside physical attributes: 14 3/4" Long, 5 1/2" Wide and 5" Deep. In addition the portion of the storage bin that is accessible by the operator shall be partially open in the front to foster quick retrieval of parts.c.Each work station shall facilitate at a minimum twenty four (24) Storage Bin Type "A's" and forty (40) Storage Bin Type "B's".9)Work Station shall be supplied with one (1) medium height chair adhering to the following specifications:a.Operator seating area shall incorporate approximately 3" of foam and have a load capacity of 300 lbs.b.Exterior surface area shall be 100% vinyl, Grade 2 material designed for clean room environments.c.Operator seating area shall be a minimum of 20" Wide and 19 " Deep.d.Chair shall be 4 Way adjustable (Seat Height, Back Height, Back Angle and Seat Angle) and shall be equipped with adjustable arm rests and a foot resting ring.10) Work station shall be equipped with a two (2) tier mobile table for transporting sub-assemblies to the Final Assembly process. The table shall incorporate the following:a.Upper transportation surface area shall be adjustable in height between 28" and 36" to match the work station.b.Upper transportation surface area shall be 12 Ft^2 and a minimum 1 " thick and made up of solid hardwood. (Matching work station finish)c.Upper Transportation surface area shall withstand a 1,000 lb load capacity.d.Lower transportation surface area shall be approximately 7 Ft^2, adjustable in height and constructed of the same laminate material as the upper shelf of the work station.e.The mobile table shall be designed to withstand a 1,500 Lb load capacity and equipped with heavy duty casters. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) also intends to procure two (2) manufacturing grade Final Assembly/Final Audit stations for Building 130 located at 6043 Jarrett's Place, Dahlgren, VA 22448-2410. Each station shall be of a modular design to foster future reconfigurations. Each station shall meet the following minimal requirements:1)Operator working surface area shall be adjustable in height between 28" and 36" to adapt to the physical characteristics of the operator. 2)Working surface areas shall be targeted at 24 Ft^2. 3)Working surface area shall be at a minimum 1 " thick and made up of solid hardwood. 4)Working surface area shall withstand a 1,000 lb load capacity per sub-assembly.5)Working stations shall incorporate approximately 12 Ft^2 of upper level storage.6)Upper storage area shall be of a laminate material.7)Work stations shall be equipped with the following utility accessories:a.Task lighting shall be mounted at the top of the workstation approximately forty-eight inches (48") above the working surface area, as required, and extend beyond the upper shelf to ensure adequate work surface area lighting.b.Florescent lighting is acceptable and shall provide direct task lighting for the entire working surface area.8)Work Station shall be supplied with one (1) medium height chair adhering to the following specifications:a.Operator seating area shall incorporate approximately 3" of foam and have a load capacity of 300 lbs.b.Exterior surface area shall be 100% vinyl, Grade 2 material designed for clean room environments.c.Operator seating area shall be a minimum of 20" Wide and 19 " Deep.d.Chair shall be 4 Way adjustable (Seat Height, Back Height, Back Angle and Seat Angle) and shall be equipped with adjustable arm rests and a foot resting ring. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) also intends to procure one (1) additional medium height chair for Building 130 located at 6043 Jarrett's Place, Dahlgren, VA 22448-2410 adhering to the following specifications:a)Operator seating area shall incorporate approximately 3" of foam and have a load capacity of 300 lbs.b)Exterior surface area shall be 100% vinyl, Grade 2 material designed for clean room environments.c)Operator seating area shall be a minimum of 20" Wide and 19 " Deep.d)Chair shall be 4 Way adjustable (Seat Height, Back Height, Back Angle and Seat Angle) and shall be equipped with adjustable arm rests and a foot resting ring. The items quoted must meet the minimum specifications outlined above, substitutions are not acceptable. Simplified Acquisition Procedures will be used. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The synopsis number is N00178-10-Q-1409 and is a Request for Quote. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238390 with a size standard of 500 employees. The order shall be a firm fixed priced order.
