Description

The Department of the Interior, U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), has a requirement for the installation of upgraded security system software to have the capacity and flexibility to control/monitor specific buildings, gates, etc. on the refuge. The security system should provide a seamless integrated interface for access control, alarm monitoring, analog and digital cameras interface, photo badges, compatibility with the DOI employee smart cards, import/export utilities, etc., for both agencies staff to access necessary facilities. Accommodation for temporary staff and volunteers that do not have the DOI employee smart cards and the capability for future expansion must also be provided for in the system. The place of performance for the required work to be performed is, Patuxent Research Refuge in Laurel, Maryland. The Government anticipates award of a Firm Fixed Price type contract. The procurement is anticipated to include a period of performance of June 8, 2010 to October 1, 2010. The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available on https://www.gsaadvantage.gov on or about November 25, 2009. The offeror is responsible for monitoring this site for the release of the solicitation and amendments (if any). A formal solicitation, statement of work, and technical exhibits are not available for release at this time. This requirement is being issued for all GSA Federal Schedule holders. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 561621 and the size standard is $12.5. There is not an incumbent contractor. Full or partial funding for requirements to be completed by resultant contract award(s) may utilize funds provided by the Act. Inclusion of unique provisions required to implement the Act, including those for significant reporting and transparency requirements by the successful offeror(s), will be required in any resultant contract.All questions and concerns may be submitted to the Contracting Officer via email at tcrawford@usgs.gov.
