Description
The Bureau of the Public Debt is conducting market research to locate contractors capable of providing a reader/printer to meet the requirements as follows: 1. Accept 16mm roll microfilm in 2.5 and 4 mil thicknesses. 2. Generate prints on plain paper. 3. Have automatic self-threading film capability. 4. Zoom lens magnification range of 23X - 40X. 5. Be able to read microfilm indexed in both the A or B channels and 3 level blips. 6. Have print capability so that the user is able to select positive or negative prints. 7. Have masking capability. 8. Be able to produce minimum of 75,000 prints annually. 9. Have a maintenance call-out time turn around of 24 hours. 10. Have capability to be linked to a computer for future plans. (Optional) All correspondence shall be sent to: PSB2@bpd.treas.gov, referencing RFI-BPD-10-0022 to the attention of WPickens. Qualified contractors must provide the following: 1. The name and location of your company, contact information, and identify your business size (Large Business, Small Business, Disadvantaged Business, 8(a), Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, HubZone, etc.) based on NAICS Code 333315, size standard 500 emloyees. Please ensure contact information includes the name of the point of contact, email address, and telephone number should the Government have questions regarding individual responses. 2. Whether your product is available through a Government contract vehicle or Open Market. 3. A brief capabilities statement (not to exceed 5 pages) that includes a description of your company's standard line of business, as well as a list of customers your company currently provides this product too. 4. Contractors should provide their DUNS, if applicable. Responses to this request must be submitted no later than 2:00 p.m. ET on November 16, 2009, and must be submitted electronically to PSB2@bpd.treas.gov to the attention of WPickens. The following file extensions are not allowable and application materials/data submitted with these extensions cannot be considered:.bat,.cmd,.com,.exe,.pif,.rar,.scr,.vbs,.hta,.cpl, and.zip files. Microsoft Office compatible documents are acceptable. No other information regarding this RFI will be provided at this time. This notice does not restrict the Government to an ultimate acquisition approach. All firms responding to this sources sought notice are advised that the response is not a request that will be considered for contract award. All interested parties will be required to respond to any resultant solicitation separately from their response to this sources sought notice.
