- Description
- The Air Force is seeking sources for a potential 100 percent set-aside for HUBZone or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) concerns. IF ADEQUATE RESPONSES ARE NOT RECEIVED, THE ACQUISTION MAY BE SOLICIATED ON AN UNRESTRICTED BASIS. This is a sources sought for planning purposes only. Project Description: The basic project description for the Building 11420 Wall Repair includes select demolition and reconstruction of mold contaminated interior wall surfaces within four (4) rooms, as well as application of fungicide within wall cavities prior to reconstruction. Demolition includes removal of existing sound insulation panels, the lower 24" of double layer gypsum board and sound batt insulation. Reconstruction includes installation of new batt insulation, installation of two layers of mold resistant gypsum board, priming/painting affected walls, and installation of new sound insulation panels. At all times, precautions shall be undertaken to follow federal, state and local mold remediation guidelines, as well as protect all occupants from exposure to contaminants. Phasing shall be required in order to avoid disruption of facility operations. The estimated magnitude for this entire project is between $100,000 and $250,000. Prime contractors who are HUBZone or SDVOSB and who intend to submit a bid for this solicitation MUST submit the following by 12:00 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time) on 09 Nov 2009. Responses should include the following: (1) a positive statement of your intention to submit a bid for this solicitation as a Prime Contractor; (2) date of HUBZone certification; and (3) documentation of SDVOSB status; and (4) listing of experience in work similar in type and scope to include contract numbers, project titles, dollar amounts, points of contact with their phone numbers, and an explanation of the relevancy of the project; (5) documentation from surety or their agent of your capability to be bonded for bid, performance and payment bonds for this project; (6) If you are a HUBZone considering a joint venture that has not been formalized, you will need to specify the firm(s) you intend to partner with and how you plan to officially form the joint venture. Firms interested should provide the above documentation by email(preferred) or fax. All of the above must be submitted in sufficient detail for a decision to be made on the availability of interested HUBZone or SDVOSB concerns. Responses shall be limited to 10 pages. Please include your DUNS number and your CAGE code. Failure to submit all information requested would result in a contractor being considered "non-responsive" in this requirement. A decision on whether this will be pursued as a set-aside or an unrestricted basis will be posted as a modification in PIXS and Federal Business Opportunities.
