Description
The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD), has a requirement to Purchase 40 Firstmark Control Position Transducers model 160-1285-C8SB-1 and 40 Acceptance Test Data Sheets.NSWCCD intends to negotiate a non-competitive procurement with Firstmark Controls, Creedmoor, NC under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c). We have used these Tranducers on Full-scale shock test ships and submarines and in order to maintain a correlation with the Data recorded on these past shock test. In preparation for full-scale shock test, mechanical filters and foundation blocks have been specifically machined to accept Fristmark Controls 160-1285-C8SB-1 type position transducers. This requirement is a 100% Set-Aside for Small Business. NAICS code 334515 applies. Only one responsible source and no other supplier of services will satisfy agency requirements. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responsible sources submitting proposals within 10 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Anticipated award date is on or around 18 November 2009.
