Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Office of Acquisition and Logistics, Technology Acquisition Center intends to renew their annual subscription for ProjNet DrChecks application services through the National Institute of Building Sciences (NIBS), 1090 Vermont Avenue, NW Suite 700, Washington, D.C., 20005-4950, pursuant to 41 U.S.C. 253(c) (1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The subscription will be a Firm Fixed Price contract for a twelve month period.ProjNet Dr. Checks is a not-for-profit software developed by the US Army Engineering Research and Development Center (ERDC) and licensed to the National Institute of Building Sciences in 2007. NIBS was authorized by public law 93-383 in 1974, as a nonprofit, nongovernmental organization that is able to offer wider visibility than was possible for ERDC researchers. ProjNet Dr. Checks is a tool that provides business-process based information exchange applications between public sector contract or project management offices, funding agencies, and all tiers of designers, consultants, builders, subcontractors, suppliers, and manufactures. It allows the users to securely coordinate information with authorized team members who can take action on the information exchanged, all data is processed within a security accredited platform. Subscription to the application is used to provide resource center enterprise call center support and it supports a maximum of thirty (30) Veteran Affairs design and construction projects at various locations across the United States. The solicitation number assigned to this effort is VA-118-10-RQ-0035 and will be issued on or about 9 November 2009. An award date of no later than 27 November 2009 is desired. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. The NAICS Code/Size is 541330/$4M. This purchase is to be processed using Simplified Acquisition Procedures in conjunction with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items.
