- USAID/Colombia would like to announce and invite all interested parties to a Pre-Solicitation meeting of its Colombian Strategic Development Initiative (CSDI) Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Program on July 15, 2009 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm, at the Illinois Conference Room in the American Embassy/USAID-Colombia building (Carrera 45 No. 24B-27, Post 2 entrance). The M&E Program draft Scope of Work (SoW), followed by a question/answer session, will be presented at the meeting. Following the presentation of the SoW, there will be an introduction presentation, oriented toward Colombian organizations, on “How USAID does Business.” The M&E draft SoW will be posted on this notice prior to the meeting. All interested parties are encouraged to send their written comments –in English only- on the draft SoW prior to and after the meeting until 5:00pm, July 17, 2009, to Mr. William Fothergill (wfothergill@usaid.gov). Please note that, pending USAID/Washington approval, USAID/Colombia intends to award this contract to a Colombian local firm. If you wish to attend this meeting, please E-mail the names and identification numbers –cédulas- of no more than 2 participants per organization to Mr. William Fothergill (wfothergill@usaid.gov) no later than 10:00am on July 13, 2009. We recommend to arrive at least 15 to 20 minutes in advance with two photo identifications. In order to expedite the security process at the Embassy’s entrance, do not bring bulky bags and/or electronic devices, such as USBs, laptops, etc. Cellular phones will have to be left at the entrance with the Embassy guards. Due to the significant changes that have occurred to the requirement since the conference, some of the questions are no longer relevant. We have taken all other questions into consideration when creating the soon to be released solicitation. If after review of the solicitation, you have remaining questions, please sumbit them following the instructions contained in the solicitation.
