Description
The Air Force is seeking sources for a potential 100% set-aside for HUBZone or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) concerns. IF ADEQUATE RESPONSES ARE NOT RECEIVED, THE ACQUISITION MAY BE SOLICITED ON AN UNRESTRICTED BASIS. This is a sources sought for planning purposes only. This requirement is to provide a wet pipe sprinkler system for Facility 30163, including a new underground fire main (approx. 70 ft.) to the building with a post indicator valve. Provide all excavation, backfill, asphalt, seeding, and testing of the system. The design and installation of the sprinkler system must be in accordance with the minimum requirements of NFPA 13, latest edition, except that the design density, design area, hose stream allowance and duration of supply requirements must be in accordance with Table 4-1 of the UFC 3-600-01. All advisory portions of the standard shall be considered mandatory. Work shall be performed in two distinct phases: 1) install main piping and drops, and 2) at a later time, install sprinkler heads. The estimated magnitude of the entire contract is between $25,000-$100,000. Responses should include the following: (1) a positive statement of your intention to submit a bid for this solicitation as a Prime Contractor; (2) date of HUBZone certification; (3) documentation of SDVOSB status; and (4) listing of experience in work similar in type and scope to include contract numbers, project titles, dollar amounts, points of contact with their email address and phone number, and an explanation of the relevancy of the project; (5) documentation from surety or their agent of your capability to be bonded for bid, performance and payment bonds for this project; (6) If you are a HUBZone considering a joint venture that has not been formalized, you will need to specify the firm(s) with whom you intend to partner, and how you plan to officially form the joint venture. Firms interested should provide the above documentation, by e-mail (preferred) or fax. All of the above must be submitted in sufficient detail for a decision to be made on the availability of interested HUBZone or SDVOSB concerns. Responses shall be limited to 10 pages. Please include your DUNS number and your CAGE code. Failure to submit all information requested would result in a contractor being considered "non-responsive" in this requirement. A decision on whether this will be pursued as a set-aside or an unrestricted basis will be posted as a modification in PIXS and Federal Business Opportunities.
