- Description
- The Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS), Bethesda, Maryland, intends to negotiate an option year maintenance agreement contract with five one-year options, on a sole source basis, under the authority of FAR Part 13.106 (b), with Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics, Inc., for maintenance on a 350 Vitros Analyzer. This maintenance agreement will be procured as a commercial item in accordance with the procedures in FAR Part 12 (Acquisition of Commercial Items) and FAR Part 13 (Simplified Acquisition Procedures). The sole source determination is based on Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics, Inc. being the sole source for factory trained labor and technical services for all instrumentation manufactured and sold by Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics, Inc. The period of performance for the required maintenance agreement commences on October 24, 2009 and concludes October 23, 2010. This is not a request for quote. However, all interested parties may contact the Contract Specialist listed below. Sources interested in responding to this requirement must be able to provide compelling evidence that they can obtain/provide a maintenance agreement contract for the 350 Vitros Analyzer. Responses must be submitted electronically, via email, to tosin.abari@usuhs.mil. The deadline for the submittal of responses is November 10, 2009, 1:00 pm Eastern Standard Time.
