Description
The U.S. Army ARDEC is conducting a Market Survey to identify potentialsources that have the capability to upgrade of an existing Near Infrared System to include programming, installation, and debug. This effort is anticipated to be 6 weeks in duration. The existing system was purchased to support explosive reclamation operations at Picatinny Arsenal. The existing Near Infrared System, installed by Light Technology (LT) Industries, consists of an ISO-CHEM/SPX Spectrometer, Eight-Channel Sequential Multiplexer, Fiber Optic Cable, High Energy Bubble Shedding Probe, and Analyzer Controller PC. The upgrade of the Near Infrared System will provide updated controls and software to the existing system that currently includes existing proprietary control software and hardware and will take place in the explosive pilot plant facility at Picatinny Arsenal. Capable sources must also have knowledge of Army regulations on Explosive Operations and Explosive Equipment.All responses must provide company name, address, and telephone number, technical point of contact, size of business (small/large), and applicable brochures / literature pertaining to their capabilities related to this system. Any files intended to be submitted, via the internet, that have been compressed using ZIP software must have their file extension,.zip, changed to.zip-a in order to be accepted through our security firewalls. All responding sources shall submit, with details listed above, no later than 16 November 2009 to U.S. Army TACOM-Picatinny, Bldg. 10, Attn: CCJM-JA, Mr. Richard Wheelwright, Contract Specialist, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806 or responses can also be submitted by email to Mr. Richard Wheelwright, Contract Specialist, via email at: richard.wheelwright@us.army.mil.. This is not a solicitation and does not obligate the government to issue a solicitation. No award will be made as a result of this market survey. All information is to be submitted at no cost or obligation to the government. This market survey is for planning purposes only, does not constitute a Request for Proposal, and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue an order or otherwise pay for the information solicited. Anything submitted in response to this market survey will not be returned to the sender. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the survey nor results of information submitted, and telephone or email inquiries will not be honored. No further information is available from the contracting office.
