- THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTORS UNDER W31P4Q-09-R-0250. ****ATTENTION****ALL FORMAL COMMUNICATION RELATED TO THIS ACQUISITION MUST BE DIRECTED TO: Michael Haywood, Contracting Officer, email: michael.haywood1@us.army.mil. No telephone calls will be accepted. PRON: D19V0180D1, NOUN: Eyesafe Laser Reson, NSN: 1240-01-448-5383; P/N: 13496540; Qty: 500 each. Firm Fixed Price contract applicable to Bradley Fighting Vehicle with deliveries to Chambersburg, PA. Required delivery is 500 each 110 Days After Contract Award (DACA) with Contractor Tested First Article requirement, 73 DACA without Contractor Tested First Article, 91 DACA when ALT II clause is recommended. This requirement is restricted to Raytheon Company (CAGE: 3U331) because there are no other supplier (s) of the item who possess the unique skills, production techniques, and quality control disciplines required for fulfilling the proposed contract requirement for equipment whose reliable operation is essential to the proper functioning of the Bradley Fighting Vehicle System. This part requires engineering source approval by the design control activity in order to maintain the quality of the part. An alternate source must qualify in accordance with the design control activitys procedures, as approved by the cognizant Government engineering activity. The qualification procedures must be approved by the Government engineering activity having jurisdiction over the part in the intended application. Based on the Technical review, there is reasonable technical basis to conclude that the item required by the agency is currently available only from the source(s), identified by their Contractor and government Entity (Cage) 3U331. Adequate technical data is not available for this acquisition. All offerors must meet prequalification requirements in order to be eligible for award. Firms that recognize and can produce the required item described above are encouraged to identify themselves. Firms are encouraged to seek source approval in order to compete for future solicitations by accessing the website www.redstone.army.mil/cmo/ and looking under Standard Aviation and Missile Source Approval Request (SAMSAR). All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the Agency. The closing date annotated is an estimated date and may be adjusted dependent upon the date of release of solicitation however; solicitation will not close prior to the closing date stated above. Foreign firms are reminded that all requests for solicitation must be processed through their respective embassies.
