Description
SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS: PLANOGRAM SOFTWARE. This announcement is a Request for Information(RFI). This request for information (RFI) seeks to determine industry capability to provide DeCA with robust Planogram software that shall: determine a store level assortment and store-specific planograms based on store-specific sales and local demand (demographics) and item characteristics, provide an automated Planogram creation capability, use store-specific retail floor space and shelf fixtures when creating a Planogram - dimensional data and type (frozen, chill, dry, etc), use store-specific warehouse (stockroom) floor space and shelf fixtures - dimensional data (frozen, chill, dry, etc) to determine Warehouse (stockroom) planograms by department (not item), utilize demographic data in clustering calculations, utilize a store relationship to the available distribution network (e.g., a store must stock enough items from a distributor to make it advantageous to send a truck to the store), utilize store specific item sales movement recognizing impact of promotional sales, seasonal sales, and out-of-stock conditions, utilize business rules that will drive merchandising decisions, utilize business rules that will drive shelf position and companion items, utilize business rules that will drive mandatory stock items, utilize business rules regarding the linkage of old item demand to new item, provide digital pictures of items, utilize business rules regarding minimum and maximum pack out quantities, utilize business rules regarding lead-time demand and safety stock, utilize business rules regarding frequency of delivery vs. number of days open during the week, utilize business rules regarding “PayDay" demand, utilize business rules regarding category space allocation vs. space available, support item addition and item change workflow processes by the buyers, utilize audit log reporting for changes made to planograms (e.g., who deleted an item, date of change), interface between legacy systems and Planogram software and vice versa. If interested, furnish your detailed response and technical information questionnaire. Additionally, provide any supplemental information or commercial literature describing the supportability, quality, cost, product availability, licensing options, ability to provide a “managed hosting” service, or other information not specifically requested that you feel would be informative. The Government does NOT wish to obtain any proprietary or otherwise protected documents as a result of this market survey. The Government may return such data or documents submitted that have proprietary or protected markings. This market research process is intended to obtain only commercially available information about contractor’s products. All portions of these enclosures are merely for market research purposes, subject to change at any time, are in no way binding on the Government and do not represent an established requirement. These enclosures are furnished for information purposes only with the understanding that the Government is under no obligation of any kind to proceed with an acquisition in any way related to or based upon the data set forth in these enclosures. Nothing contained in this survey should be regarded as a basis upon which to seek payment, reimbursement or other consideration from the Government. Moreover, this letter is not intended as a solicitation of any proposal. A contract will NOT be awarded from this RFI. Response Format. Electronic responses are required. What experience does your company have in retail Planograms systems? 6. Are your described systems bought and sold commercially? If so, how many years have they been on the market? What retailers are using the systems? 7. How do you support your current software products? 14. Do you have any locations Outside Continent of United States (OCONUS)? If so, where are they located? NOTE: The Government is not asking you to develop or provide drawings or develop any technical data in response to this market survey.
