- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Naval Sea Systems Command. Note: The Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport, Rhode Island is NOT accepting quotes or proposals via submission through NECO. Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) intends to issue a task order under Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N00024-05-G-4417 to General Dynamics, Electric Boat Division pursuant to the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), Only One Responsible Source. This work is within the scope of class J&A 40572 and is a sole source to Electric Boat Division of General Dynamics Corporation. The task order will be awarded on a Cost Plus Fixed Fee basis with an estimated Level of Effort of (800) hours. The task order will be issued on a sole source basis to Electric Boat (EB) because they are the only known source that can provide these unique engineering services within schedule requirements. This task order requires the contractor to provide Quality Assurance SUBSAFE Level 1 services for MK 19 Turbine Pump Ejection System and MK 12 Controllable Air Firing Valve. Electric Boat developed and maintains all SEAWOLF Air Turbine Pump and Controllable Air Firing Valve records in their QA department. The period of performance is for 12 months from the date of award.
