Description
This announcement is for the purpose of soliciting names of United States firms or US/Egyptain firms that are in a joint venture and registered in the USA for the below described project. To be considered a U.S. firm, the firm must have corporate headquarters in the U.S.; shall have filed corporate and employment tax returns in the U.S. for a minimum of 2 years (if required); has filed State and Federal income tax returns (if required) for 2 years and has paid any taxes due as a result of these filings; and employ U.S. citizens in key management positions. PROPOSAL BID SCHEDULE The solicitation is scheduled for release on or about 15 Nov and the proposal due date on or about 15 Dec 2009. PROJECT SCOPE: The Contractor shall provide all necessary, labor, materials, administrative support and professional engineering services necessary to evaluate the structural condition of the existing Ship Lift System Side Transfer Carriage (STC) and related components located at Ras El Tin Navy Base, Alexandria, Egypt. The contractor is to evaluate the repair of the STC damage, including removal of the rails, improve the rail foundation condition, and install new rails to the correct tolerances. It is expected that the repair of the damaged STC, improvement to the foundations and replacement of the rails will be accomplished concurrently. The contractor is to deliver to the U.S. Government detailed structural engineering analysis, specific written and detailed repair requirements, drawings and other information as may be required by the Government to use as a scope of work to be issued to a general contractor who shall carry out the repairs. This will be an electronic issued solicitation. Proposals will be received in hard/paper copies only. Electronic and fax proposals will not be accepted.
