- Description
- The Air Armament Center, 46 Test Wing, 46 Operations Group, Project CHICKEN LITTLE (CL), Eglin AFB FL is surveying the government and industry to determine interest in cost leveraged seeker/sensor testing. These test events will utilize foreign and domestic, classified and unclassified, ground mobile vehicles including: mobile surface-to-surface and surface-to-air missile systems, and other air defense units as test items in static and dynamic scenarios intended to gather seeker/sensor signature data, assess weapon and/or intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) system performance, and collect signature data for analysis and algorithm development. Test participants must be able to provide all necessary ground-based or airborne platforms, hardware/software systems including seeker/sensor instrumentation, and all personnel to accomplish the complete set of data collection missions. Test costs will be collectively shared by participants based on the individual level of activity and resource requirements. Commercial participants must satisfy certain requirements with respect to security, insurance and liability in order to participate. It is CL policy that each participant provides a copy of their reduced data to the Eglin Signatures Data Center. Data will be marked and handled as proprietary, if necessary. Interested participants are encouraged to attend a test planning workshop with qualified individual(s) representing your organization's potential interests. Workshop attendance is not mandatory for test participation, but prior clearance and approval to participate in the test event is required. The workshop will be held 2-3 February 2010, at Eglin AFB, main conference room of the Command and Control Test Facility, Building 85. A visit request will be required by 22 January 2010; JPAS SMO Code ED1MFLW36 or fax visit request to 850-885-4080 (DSN 755-4080). Those planning to attend the workshop should obtain an informational package from either of the following individuals: Mary Plenge, 850-882-9577, (DSN 872-9577), mary.plenge@eglin.af.mil; or Jonathan Malone, 850-883-4877, (DSN 875-4877), jonathan.malone.ctr@eglin.af.mil. Since this is not a request for a contract award, there will be no Request for Proposal (RFP), nor will any binding selection criteria be prepared. Participation is not subject to the Contracts Dispute Act of 1978 and not subject to arbitration or dispute. This synopsis is for information and planning purposes only. It does not constitute an RFP, and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. Participation is not subject to the Contracts Dispute Act of 1978 and not subject to arbitration or dispute.
