Description
The Marine Corps Systems Command, Program Manager for Ammunition is conducting market research to obtain information about sources capable of providing M72A9 Lightweight Anti-Structure Weapon (LAW), DODIC: HA48. A firm-fixed price, three-year (3 Year) Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contact is contemplated. RESPONSES: The responders to this sources sought are to provide information on its weapon. Candidate systems must have achieved a level of technical maturity such that they are capable of meeting all performance requirements and successfully completing a Government Qualification program without additional research and development. Contingent upon the availability of funding, the Marine Corps Systems Command intends to release a synopsis/solicitation by Second Quarter FY2010. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code is 332993 Ammunition Manufacturing. All contractors who provide goods and or services to the DoD must be registered in the Central Contractor Register (CCR). Any forthcoming solicitation will require online certifications and representations (ORCA), http://orca.bpn.gov. Failure to comply with ORCA registration may make the offerors ineligible for award. Responses to this sources sought notice should include a brief description of the weapon with a brief statement of capabilities, technical maturity, and readiness to complete a Qualification program. Firms should include literature, brochures, and capabilities summaries directly addressing their ability to meet the aforementioned needs. Firms are to state their business size, NAICS Code, and identify a corporate point of contact. Interested sources may identify their interest and capability to meet the requirements by submitting a white paper, technical data for the item, past performance, and their capability to provide test units upon request no later than close of business 2:00 PM EST, 04 December 2009, to Commander, Marine Corps Systems Command, Attn: Code PMM 2041, 2200 Lester St., Quantico, VA 22134, or email laurel.baker@usmc.mil. Questions may be submitted in writing via email to laurel.baker@usmc.mil. The cutoff for questions will be 2:00 PM EST, 20 November 2009.
