- RECOVERYThis project will be funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) and is subject to the reporting requirements of the action. In addition to the normal FAR clauses the following clauses apply to this solicitation: FAR 52.203-15 Whistleblower Protection, FAR 52.204-11 ARRA Reporting Requirements, FAR 52.225-21 Required Use of American Iron, Steel, and Other Manufactured Goods-Buy American Act-Construction Materials, FAR 52.225-22 Notice of Required Use of American Iron, Steel, and Other Manufactured Goods-Buy American Act-Construction Materials. The National Park Service will be issue a Request for Quotations on or about 11 November 2009 to furnish and install a new 50 KW diesel generating system. This solicitation will be issued electronically (paper copies of this solicitation will not be made available) on the Department of Interior's National Business Center (NBC) website at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. Solicitation documents will be available in Microsoft Word, HTML, TIFF and Adobe PDF formats. Quoters wishing to receive electronic notification of changes will need to register to receive notification of this specific solicitation at http//ideasec.nbc.gov. This service is provided for convenience only and does not serve as a guarantee of notification. Plan holders will be required to visit this website periodically to check for amendments and other changes to the contract documents. No other notification will be sent. The work of the project is to remove the existing generator and furnish and install a new 50 KW diesel generating system on a reinforced concrete pad outside the Generator Garage located at Marsh Billings NHS, Woodstock, Vermont. Generator shall consist of a prime mover, generator, governor, coupling and all controls as one complete united to be located outside the generator. Unit shall also include a weather protective sound attenuating enclosure, an exhaust silencer, batteries, and automatic float battery charger, built-in fuel tank and phone dialer. Work includes all installations and hook-up. The solicitation will be issued as a small business set-aside. The NAICS code and size standard for this procurement is 423610 and 100 employees. The estimated time for completion is 315 calendar days from the date of the date of Award. Hard copy quote documents only shall be accepted for this solicitation (no faxed or electronic quote documents will be accepted). The information on where to submit quotes will be in the solicitation documents. A completed quote package shall include one copy of completed SF18, Request for Quotation with original signature; completed quote schedule and completed Section K, Representations and Certifications. Award will be made to the responsive and responsible quoter whose quote will be most advantageous to the government, considering only price and price related factores included in the request for quotation.
