APPLICATION: TF34 engines (A-10 aircraft) HISTORY: N00383-04-D-013M PBL initiative supporting Navy and Air Force requirements DURATION OF CONTRACT PERIOD: Five year contract consisting of a one year basic with four one-year options EXTENT OF FOREIGN PARTICIPATION: Foreign contractors can be prime contractors for this acquisition. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS (QRs): QRs are available. This is a competitive acquisition with a limited number of sources where qualification requirements apply. To be eligible for contract award, offerors must be approved sources, in accordance with clause 52.209-1, qualification requirements. The government is not required to delay contract award to review pending Source Approval Requests (SARs). therefore, offerors are encouraged to submit SARs as soon as possible if the government has not completed review of a SAR when the contract is awarded, the SAR will be retained and the source will be reviewed for possible source approval for future awards. FAG Aerospace Inc (36069) and Timken Bearing Inspection Inc (09111) are currently the approved sources. A request for solicitation and proposal submittals and responses may be faxed to (405) 739-3462 or email melinda.infante@tinker.af.mil. Electronic submission of proposals is permitted. All responsible sources may submit a proposal that shall be considered by the agency. An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
