- The proposed contract action is for commercial items, which the Naval Medical Center San Diego intends to solicit on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 13.106(1). Interested contractors/persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirements or submit quotes. This notice on interest is not a request for quotations. However, all quotes received by 30 Oct 2009 @ 12:00 PM Pacific Standard Time, will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This is a Combined Synopsis/ SOLICITATION for Commercial Items prepared in accordance with the information in FAR Subpart 12.6, using Simplified Acquisitions Procedures for commercial items found at FAR 13, as supplemented with the additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a written solicitation will not be issued. PAPER COPIES OF THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE.
