Description

The U.S. Geological Survey, Geologic Discipline, Reston, Virginia intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Spectromat, GMBH, Bremen for custom manufactured replacement parts and technical support for Finnigan Mat 62 Mass Spectrometer to be delivered to Reston, Virginia. Spectromat, GMBH, through patents and copyrights for this instrument is the only known source for this requirement with access to specifications for custom manufactured replacement parts which are now obsolete. There are no option periods THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. THE GOVERNMENT INTENDS TO AWARD THIS REQUIREMENT NONCOMPETITIVELY IAW FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). NAICS Code is 334516 The anticipated award date of the contract is 11/10/2009. A vendor must be registered at http://www.ccr.gov to be awarded the contract. All responsible sources may submit a bid or quotation which shall be considered by the agency.
