Description
The Naval Air Systems Command Headquarters (NAVAIRHQ), Patuxent River, MD intends to issue on a sole source basis a Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) to place a class of orders for the duration of three years with Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation (NGSC) in San Diego, CA. These orders will consist of supplies and services that include engineering and technical studies for pre-planned UAV product improvements, investigation of potential systems changes, field support to analyze system performance for demonstration including participation in demonstrations, and UAV working group participation supporting the Global Hawk Demonstration Program and Fire Scout Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) system. NGSC is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the Global Hawk and Fire Scout UAV system and is the only firm that possesses the necessary knowledge, experience, and technical data required to perform the affore mentioned efforts. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of the notice of intent will normally be considered soley for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. For subcontracting opportunities, interested parties may identify their technical capabilities and submit appropriate information that shall be considered by the Naval Air Systems Command or submit directly to Catherine Magnussen, catherin.magnussen@ngc.com, 858-618-4651at Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation.
