- THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS PREPARED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FORMAT IN FAR SUBPART 12.6, AS SUPPLEMENTED WITH ADDITIONAL INFORMATION INCLUDED IN THIS NOTICE. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; QUOTES ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. The Request for Quotation (RFQ) number is EA133W-10-RQ- 0049. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-37. This procurement is being solicited as 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The PSC for this is 6660 and the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 326299, the small business size standard is 500 employees. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Weather Service Forecast Office in Albany, New York has a requirement for the following: CLIN 0001 Provide 800 Gram Meteorological Sounding Balloons per the following specifications for the NOAA National Weather Service (NWS) Upper Air Program. Contractor shall delivery an average of 69 balloons per month. Quantity: 768 each. Period of Performance for this requirement is December 1, 2009 through November 30, 2010. SPECIFICATIONS: Uncolored Average Weight (gr): 800 Neck Diameter (cm): 3 Neck Length (cm): 12 Flaccid Body Length more (cm): 184 Barely Inflated Diameter (cm): 117 Payload (gr): 250 Free Lift (gr): 970 Nozzle Lift (gr): 1220 Gross Lift (gr): 2020 Diameter at release (cm): 150 Volume at Release (cu.
