Description
This is a sole-source requirement to General Electric (Cage Code 99207). The data needed to acquire this part competitively is not physically available, it cannot be obtained economically, nor is it possible to draft adequate specifications or any other adequate, economical description of the material for a competitive solicitation. NSN: 2840-01-051-2894 OP. OEM Code: 99207. PN: 6021T32G02. Description: TF34 Engine Fan Case, designed to surround or enclose the fan section of the engine. Dimensions - overall length 8.667 inches minimum and 8.673 inches maximum. Material is aluminum. Quantity: Total 3 Year Best Estimated Quantity of 43 each; First Year Order of 18 each, Second Year Order of 12 each and Third Year Order of 13 each. Total Contract Maximum Quantity is 65 each. Destination: B FB2039, Tinker AFB OK.Delivery Schedule: First order of 18 each on or before 31 OCT 2010. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. One or more of the items under this acquisition is subject to Free Trade Agreements. An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
