Description
PDF file for Draft RFP: GELBR. This notice, or synopsis, is posted as a presolicitation action. The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to compete the award of a firm-fixed price contract with a small business company for the fabrication, testing, and delivery of AN/ALQ-99 EA-18G Extended Low Band Radomes (GELBRs). The contract is expected to be awarded for a base year, with three (3) option years. The formal Request for Proposals (RFP) will be announced on the NAVAIR Home page only. The successful Contractor shall fabricate and test GELBRs in accordance with the Build- to Package (BTP). The Contractor will be responsible for performing all electrical and mechanical/ structural testing specified in the BTP, including first article fabrication of a radome for destruct testing. A shipment box will be required for each GELBR, fabricated in accordance with the BTP, to safely ship the GELBR between test sites, if required, as well as for storage and for shipment to the Government’s final delivery point. The GELBR includes antenna mounting brackets to be fabricated as an integral feature of the GELBR. The Government anticipates an additional requirement to provide spare GELBRs and spare bracket sets for Government future needs. Small business companies desiring to compete in the near future may now request the BTP (Item 1 of Section J, Attachment 5 in the DRAFT RFP) from the Primary Point of Contact (POC) announced in this notice. Requests must cite the solicitation # in the e-mail subject line; and the text should include CAGE Code and POC name, telephone number and address of your company.
