Description
RECOVERY - UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK REMOVAL AND REMEDIATION This notice is issued to correct the previously issued presolicitation notice to (1) change the NAICS classification from 562910, to 562910 "Environmental Remediation Services"; (2) change the small business size standard applicable to this requirement from $14 Million to 500 employees, and to extend the anticipated solicitation availability date from October 16, 2009 to November 9, 2009. The full text of the original notice, corrected as described above, is as follows: The Department of the Interior, U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), has a requirement for removal and disposal of an underground storage tank (UST), liquid(s) contained in the UST, and remediation of excavated area and contaminated soils/materials in the area of excavation to be replaced with clean materials matching the immediately surrounding native material, compacted and leveled. The location of the UST is the USGS Steilacoom Warehouse & Storage Facility, Lakewood, WA. The Government anticipates award of a commercial, Firm-Fixed Price type contract. The period of performance is anticipated to be from December 10, 2009 to May 12, 2010. In accordance with the requirements of FAR 5.207(c)(11), a written request for quotation and any documents related to this acquisition will be issued in accordance with the procedures of FAR Part 13, and will be available on the internet on or about November 9, 2009. The offeror is responsible for monitoring this site for the release of the request for quotation and amendments (if any). A formal request for quotation is not available for release at this time. This requirement is being issued as a total small business set-aside opportunity. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 562910, Environmental Remediation Services, and the size standard is 500 employees. There is not an incumbent contractor. Full funding for requirements to be completed by resultant contract award(s) may utilize funds provided by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (the 'Act'), Public Law 111-5. Inclusion of unique provisions required to implement the Act, including those for significant reporting and transparency requirements by the successful offeror(s), will be required in any resultant contract.
