Description
The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic (SSC LANT), in support ofthe Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) and the Program Executive Office for Satellite Communications (SATCOM), Teleport and Services (PEO-STS), intends to issue a full and open competitively procurement for the design, development and production of the Mobile User Objective System (MUOS) To Legacy Ultra High Frequency (UHF) SATCOM Gateway Component capability. This capability will provide the interconnect services between legacy UHF satellite systems and the MUOS thus providing the warfighter with voice and data communications bridging between these satellite systems supporting maritime, airborne, and ground mobile tactical operations SSC LANT In support of DISA, will be hosting an Industry Day in Charleston, SC. The Government intends to present a series of briefings, followed by a session that will allow Industry to ask questions and offer comments in an open forum. Interested parties may choose to request an individual session with the Government representatives in order to provide an additional avenue for offerors to present concerns and questions. Ten (10) individual sessions will be made available on a first come-first serve basis with each session lasting 50 minutes. The industry day will be held on 9-10 November, 2009. The anticipated agenda for Monday, 9 November is as follows: 0830-0900: Sign-in 0900-1500: Government presentations. 1500-1700: Individual sessions (2) The anticipated agenda for Tuesday is as follows: 0830-1230: Individual sessions (4) 1300-1700: Individual sessions (4) All meetings will be held at the Naval Weapons Station Charleston, Gate 4, SSC LANT, Charleston, SC (Bldg. 3112). Visitor instructions for directions, visitor badges, and vehicle passes can be obtained at the following site: http://enterprise.spawar.navy.mil/body.cfm?Type=C&category=32&subcat=75 Interested parties are encouraged to submit questions/comments regarding the draft technical documents. Any advanced questions prior to this briefing should be submitted in writing to the contracting officer via email to Mr. Jesse Seaton (jesse.seaton@navy.mil). All submitted questions and answers will be made publicly available on the SPAWAR E- Commerce Central website (https://e- commerce.spawar.navy.mil) following Industry Day. Only two representatives from each company are permitted to attend Industry Day. Only two representatives from each Team/Company are allowed to participate for each individual session. In order to attend the conference (and schedule an individual session if desired), RSVPs must be submitted by 3 November 2009 to Mr. Jesse Seaton (jesse.seaton@navy.mil) with a copy to Mrs. Julie Bryant (Julie.j.bryant@navy.mil) and to Mr. Brian Powell (brian.powell.ctr@disa.mil) and contain the following information: a) Company Name (If subcontractor, please identify the prime contractor you are attending with.) b) Full names of representative(s) planning to attend c) Representative(s) official title/affiliation d) Representative(s) email address and direct phone number e) Representative(s) security clearance level and citizenship Upon receipt of your RSVP, you will be added to the attendee list. An invitation will be sent in receipt of RSVP that will include visit request instructions and directions. Requests for conference attendance and individual sessions will be confirmed in the order they are received. For those who are unable to attend, the briefing material along with all Questions & Answers will be posted to the SPAWAR E-Commerce Central website.
