- This Sources Sought/Market Survey is being issued to identify potential small, bondable, and experienced businesses such as: (1) Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB): (2) Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB); (3) 8(a) contractors, (4) HUBZone Small Businesses, (5) Women Owned Small Businesses (WOSB), (6) and/or Small Disadvantaged Businesses (SDB) that are capable of meeting the construction needs of the Department of Veterans Affairs, Office of Construction & Facilities Management (CFM), Washington, DC. The construction need is relative to Project # 640-424B entitled, Site Utility Development at the VA Palo Alto Health Care System, 3801 Miranda Ave Palo Alto, California 94304. The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools and equipment necessary for the realignment of the existing loop road, construction of new segments of the loop road, construction of a new 580,000 gallon above ground water storage tank, construction and installation of a precast concrete utility trench, approx. 800 linear feet including utility vaults. Project also includes installation of steam and condensate piping; chill water supply & return piping and the construction and installation of an electrical duct bank paralleling the utility trench. Project will also include landscaping and irrigation and the demolition of an existing diesel fuel storage tank and an existing water storage tank. The estimated cost range for this project is between $10,000,000 and $20,000,000. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 237110 and the small business size standard is $33.5 Million. The award of a firm fixed-price contract is anticipated. Interested bondable small businesses having the skills and capabilities necessary to perform the stated requirements are invited to provide information to contribute to the sources sought / market survey. Responses must include the following information: (1) Sources Sought announcement number and specific project location (2) Company name, address, point of contact with phone number and e-mail address; (3) Business size determination and qualifying small business status; (4) Current bonding capacity signed surety letter stating bonding up to $20,000,000.00; (5) The firms construction experience with past projects similar in the size and the scope.
