- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY - A solicitation is not available at this time. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government. The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center Acquisition Office in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, has a future requirement and intends to award a firm-fixed price type contract for Solid Waste Collection Services and the 10 Point Recycle Program. Services are to be provided at the Oklahoma City VAMC located at 921 N.E. 13th Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73104. The contract period for all services shall consist of a (12) month base year with four (4) twelve (12) month option periods for renewal. A Government solicitation document to provide these services is being developed and a contract may or may not result. Market Research is being conducted to determine interest and capability of potential sources for this requirement. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary, the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. Any response to this sources sought will not be considered a quote and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. No collect calls will be accepted. No telephone or written requests for the market survey will be accepted. An Exchange with Industry Meeting will be held on October 29, 2009 at 8:00 A.M., at the Chase Auditorium located at 921 N.E. 13th Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73104. All future information regarding this acquisition, including solicitation, amendments, or information will also be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. All contractors doing business with the Federal Government shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. The web site for registration is at http://www.ccr.gov. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 562111 Solid Waste Collection and the applicable small business standard is $12.5 million. The Oklahoma City Veterans Affairs Medical Center is seeking information on any U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) certified 8(a), Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone), Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) or Small Business firms with current recent relevant project experience and qualified key personnel to perform these services. This information will be utilized to determine the possible procurement set aside.
