- Description
- J.1 (a) Scope The intention of this work is to install forty eight new floodlights on twenty two masts; this installation based on security inspection of IBB Senior Security Officer Michael Lawrence. For security reason to provide proper illumination at the fence line those lightings will be installed. Installation site is the inner fence line of the outer perimeter fence at the LampertheimTransmitting Station, Germany. All work is to be conducted at the site. 2) General Requirements i) The contractor shall supply all labor, machines, tools, lighting figtures material and equipment necessary to perform the required work. (2) All installation work is to conform to good professional industry standards for the installation of professional flood lighting systems. (3) All installation work is to conform to appropriate European and German DIN/VDE, BG and CE standards. The Contractor is to ensure that all work is to be performed in accordance to U. S. and local safety standards. (4) Contractor shall install/erect twenty two light poles 12m height at the existing foundations prepared for the light poles. At two poles, one left and one right of the main gate four floodlights Site co (5NA 553 8-1 ST02) will be installed at each pole. On top of the other twenty poles 12 m height, two similar floodlights will be installed at each mast to illuminate the outer perimeter fence line. The contractor has to deliver and install the poles, floodlights, mast fuse boxes, and connect the wiring from floodlight-poles to the existing main lighting cable duct. The contractor is to deliver and install at the guard house power distributor: breakers, contactors, controls, switches, terminal boards, photo electric light switch, fuses, distribution boxes, and all electrical devices to allow fully function for the new perimeter fence lighting system. Finally the contractor is to deliver a documentation of the new wired and installed lighting system. (5) Working hours are from 07:30 to 15:30 hours (5 days/week); however, the field is to be cleared by 15:30 hours. The broadcasts schedule is subject to change; the site supervisor will advise of any schedule changes that will impact the contractor’s work schedule. On German national and American Holidays the Station will be closed. Additional working time is at the discretion of the site supervisor. (6) Contractor is to clean work areas and remove all excess and waste materials from site at completion of work. (7) Utilities including water, electrical, and sanitation are available at site. If utilities are need in work area, the Contractor shall be responsible at his own expense for temporary connections and subsequent removal and restoration thereof after contract work is completed. Contractor must request and coordinate utility connections with site supervisor. (8) Contractor must observe all site security regulations and ensure that no prohibited materials are brought to site. (9) The Contractor is hereby informed that the work site is an active broadcasting radio transmitter system and has therefore electrical hazards. The Contractor shall keep clear of all antenna and transmitter components and shall on no occasion enter within restricted areas (10) Work may be inspected during various stages of progress to ensure compliance with the intended requirements. Station Manager will provide contract management and will supply names of persons authorized to provide direction on his behalf and to answer questions with regard to this work or site regulations. (11) Contractor shall make immediate changes to work completed or under progress should the work not conform the requirements and if changes not agreed to by Station Manager or designated representative. The Contractor should make these changes as expeditiously as possible within the completion period of the Purchase Order. (12) Contractor must provide a competent supervisor at the work site for all periods when maintenance work is in progress. (13) Contractor must show adequate proof of liability insurance to cover any damage to station facility or grounds and must keep insurance in effect during construction period. (14) Warranty period of all work after acceptance shall be two years.
