- RECOVERY--The purpose of this modification is to remove the wording 'THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTORS UNDER W912P5-10-B-0002' as this is full and open. A detailed description is also added. The Nashville District U.S. Army Corp of Engineers (USACE) intends to issue an invitation for bid (IFB), W912P5-10-B-0002, for construction of mooring cells at Wheeler Lock, Tennessee River mile 274.9. The work covered by this project consists of furnishing labor and all necessary materials to construct mooring cells with protection fenders and mooring ring assemblies at the location specified by the Government. Mooring cells are used to assist towing vessels transiting locks. IFB W912P5-10-B-0002 is full and open competition, large and small businesses will be afforded the opportunity to place bids. The NAICS code for this procurement is 238190 with a small business size standard of $14M. From this IFB, the Government intends to award one firm-fixed price contract. The Government intends to awards without discussions. The period of performance for this procurement will be 180 days. The estimated release date for IFB W912P5-10-B-0002 is on or about November 20, 2009. Specific information pertaining to this procurement will be available in the solicitation. The IFB documents for this procurement will be posted on the Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) database.
