Description
The Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC) MILSATCOM Systems Wing (MCSW) intends to modify the existing Communications Analysis, Systems Integration, and Engineerig Services (CASIES) contract, FA8808-06-C-0002, to increase the level of effort for the Enhanced Polar System (EPS) program and the MILSATCOM Systems Wing Engineering (MCSW/EN) for Option Years 3 and 4 under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 6.302-1(a) (2). The modification for increased CASIES support will be issued to the incumbent contractor, Linquest Corporation, 5140 Goldleaf Circle, Los Angeles CA, 90056-1299. The purpose of this action is to authorize increased support for 50 full time equivalent (FTE) persons on the CASIES contract to meet MCSW mission needs. This modification does not add new requirements to, nor extend the period of performance of, the CASIES contract. The MILSATCOM Systems Wing issued a Sources Sought Synopsis on 15 April 2005 to solicit input from industry and examined the acquisition history of this type of support to the EPS and EN program. The program office maintains cognizance over the protected SATCOM market and has seen no other companies emerge with the capability to meet these requirements without incurring a significant duplication of costs and unacceptable schedule impact to the program. This notice is for information purposes only and the Government will not recognize any cost associated with submission of information in response to this or previous notices. In accordance with FAR 5.207 (c) (15) (ii), all responsible sources may submit a capability statement which shall be considered by the agency. In addition, responses from qualified small and small disadvantaged businesses are encouraged. Submit all inquiries or responses to this notice to the Procurement Contracting Officer, Lisa Renee Kraus. Email: lisa.kraus@losangeles.af.mil.
