Description
Statement of Work for this Announcement. The National Institute on Aging, IRP, intends to negotiate and award a purchase on a noncompetitive basis with Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center (JHBMC). Occupational health services for occupational medical health services and animal exposure surveillance program for period October 1, 2009 through September 30, 2010. Only one responsible source and no other services will satisfy the agency requirements; 41 U.S.C. 253 © (1), FAR 6.302-1 (b) (1). The cited authority is applicable because JHBMC is the only source that can fulfill the requirements of this contract due to location and so that immediate attention can be given to any type of occupational health need that arises. Award will be made on an all or none basis to the lowest price technically acceptable. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) is 541990 and the business size standard is $6.5. This acquisition is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition procedures and is exempt from the requirements of FAR, Part 6, Competition Requirement. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals in reference to NIAFAC-13. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received prior to October 27, 2009 will be considered by the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a future competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The National Institute on Aging requires the following services: Occupational Health Services and AESP enrollment as outlined in the Statement of Work. Only electronic offers will be accepted.
