Description
The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Mid-Atlantic is seeking eligible small business firms capable of performing construction services for Recovery - TMA-N17, Bldg 3 Replace Roof and Repair Exterior Building Envelope, Naval Medical Center, Portsmouth, Virginia. The purpose of this contract is to accomplish repairs to the exterior walls, precast pilasters, doors, roofs, cooling tower supports, concrete encased steel spandrel beams, and main entrance of Building 003 at the Naval Medical Center, Portsmouth, Virginia. The work will include the demolition of existing deteriorated face brick wythe, parapets, and precast copings of exterior walls. New brick, parapets, and metal copings will be installed. The work will include removal of existing roofing, including insulation and roof drains and replacement with new materials. The work will include the removal of existing and replacement with new exterior wall and soffit mounted light fixtures, window sills, new door weatherstripping, door sweeps, and rain guards. The work will include the removal of existing porcelain metal panels and replacement with new metal wall panels and associated joint sealants. The work will include the investigation and repairs to existing steel floor beams in the exterior walls. A previous contract removed the structurally unsound main entrance canopy. The work of this contract will include the replacement with a new main entrance canopy, as well as incidental civil sitework. The target award range for this project is between $25,000,000 and $100,000,000.
