Description
This is a request for Standard Form 330, not a request for proposal. Provide Professional Architectural and Engineering Design services for the Design of New Building and Emergency Generators at Jesse Brown VA Medical Center, Chicago, Illinois. This work includes providing professional architectural and engineering services for JB 537-10-115 Upgrade Emergency Generators at Jesse Brown VAMC, 820 South Damen Avenue, Chicago IL. 60601. Work includes, but not limited to, study and verify all existing systems, routing of cable connections and distribution, and their physical conditions. Development of program space requirements, study of existing equipment, conceptual design layout schemes, design development drawings, working drawings, specifications, cost estimate and construction period services. Design a new 4MW/5 MVA central standby emergency generator plant and emergency unit substation distribution system to replace the existing standby generator systems in Buildings #27 and #28. Estimated construction cost range is $1,000,000 - $5,000,000. Area of consideration is restricted to 100 miles of Jesse Brown VA Medical Center, Chicago, Illinois. 2009. Selection criteria will be based on: (1) Professional qualifications necessary for satisfactory performance of required services; (2) Specialized experience and technical competence of the firm and assigned technical personnel in the type of work required, including experience in energy conservation. (3) Capacity to accomplish the work in the required time; (4) Past performance on contracts with VA and other government agencies and private industry in terms of cost control, quality of work, and compliance with performance schedules; (5) Location in the general geographical area of the project. This is an unrestricted procurement. NAICS code of 541330 applies with a size standard of $4.5 million. Submit two (2) copies of SF 330 with appropriate documentation by close of business November 19th 2009, No bid packages are available. Project is subject to availability of funds.
