- This procurement will be HuBZone Set-Aside. Date of issue for the solicitation and specifications will be on or about October 16, 2009, on wwww.fbo.gov. Request for Proposals will be due on or about November 17, 2009. Magnitude of construction is over $10,000,000.00. The Storage Warehouses and infrastructure were constructed in 1942 are located within the production area of the Pine Bluff Arsenal (PBA). The warehouses consist of 71 warehouse buildings approximately 70-feet wide x 39-feet deep made of clay tile block walls, asbestos transite panel roofs supported by 2 x 12 wood custom-built trusses. Each warehouse has concrete slab floor, 12 x 57 concrete loading dock slab and an approximate 130-foot-long driveway. The purpose of this project is to upgrade each building to bring them into compliance with Paragraph G-2, Criteria for existing facilities storing II through IV arms of Army Regulation 190-11 issued in 2006. Services include, but are not limited to placing a 2-inch layer of shotcrete reinforced with expanded metal attached to the existing clay tile exterior; replacing existing asbestos transite roofs with 24 gage standing seam metal; replacing 142 double doors (2 at each warehouse) with 14 gage metal doors and frames; replacing various member of existing wood trusses; repairing existing damaged interior clay tiles; providing electrical service to each warehouse for new lighting and power system; replacing 7 floor slabs and eleven 12-inch thick concrete docks; replacing existing water supply system including 40 fire hydrants; providing driveway and road upgrades with gravel and asphalt; and grading around vicinity of each building for improved drainage and establishment of turf.
