- Emergency Medical Training Course (RFI) The Marine Corps Chemical Biological Incident Response Force (CBIRF) Contracting Office is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) to determine the general availability of local EMT courses that can be modifiedto meet CBIRF's time constraints and allow for mission capability. These users need the course to be a maximum of 30 days in its entirety, consisting of three weeks of lectures, practical training, and testing; followed by oneweek of experience in a local ambulance. All corpsmen and IRF Marines assigned to technical rescue and extract duties require training to the EMT-B level. Upon completionof the course, the students will have completed all requirements and testing necessary for the Maryland and National EMT certification exams. The prospective contractor will be responsible for providing the exams and all administrative requirements for processing the exams. The EMT Basic program shall provide general instruction in all human body systems and initial basic life support management for a wide range of medical conditions. All materials, equipment and locations will be provided by the prospective contractor and must be no more than 50 miles from NSW Indian Head, MD. This course will be conducted four times yearly for approximately 20 Marines and or Sailors. There is a possibility of option years. Responses to this RFI should not exceed fifty (50) pages and must contain the following information: a capability statement which includes information on the type of technology used, locations, equipment to be used, pricinginformation, service history, an established classroom schedule, verification of EMT Ride-A-Longs, course breakdown and an example of the format used during lectures or a reference to sourced textbooks. In their response, vendors should clearly mark any information that is proprietary. Offerors should have a representative that will be available for any questions regarding the courses and their content. Pricing and delivery information should be based on the assumption that a purchase will be made in the second quarter of FY10. Responses are due by 15 November 2009. NOTE: This Request for Information is for planning purposes only and is issued in accordance with FAR Clause 52.215-3. No solicitation document exists at this time. Issuance of this notice does not constitute any obligation on the part of the Government to procure these items or to issue a solicitation. In addition, the Government is under no obligation to pay for information submitted in response to this RFI, and responses to this notice cannot be accepted as offers. Any information that the vendorconsiders proprietary should be clearly marked as such.
