Description

RECOVERY - THIS OPPORTUNITY IS UNRESTRICTED and will be available to all businesses sizes (large and small). The USFWS has a requirement for pile driving. The pile driving and installation project is to replace, and in some areas, repost the 1937 Presidential Proclamation Boundary around Long Island, within the Willapa Bay. This will be"best value" procurement with award based on past performance with similar requirements and price. Past performance is significantly more important than price. Solicitation number 10181RR032 will be posted in approximately 15 days and may then be viewed thru a link to the National Business Center Interior Electronic Acquisition System-Electronic Commerce at "http://www.fedbizopps.gov" or "http://www.nbc.gov". The solicitation response date will be approximately 21 days from posting date. No further notice will be posted on Fedbizopps. For assistance in downloading information from the National Business Center contact the helpdesk at (703) 390-6633. Interested contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and complete Online Representations and Certifications (ORCA) at "http://www.bpn.gov". This will be a firm fixed priced contract. The NAICS code is 237990; size standard $33.5 million. The project magnitude is between $100,000 and $250,000. Work to commence upon receipt of approved permitting and be completed no later than September 1, 2010. Contractors are strongly encouraged to perform a site visit. Treasury Account Symbol (TAS) number is 1409/101613 and project number is R1BR. PROJECT INFORMATION: Pile driving and installation of up to thirty (30) pilings on the boundary line of the Presidential Proclamation Boundary within the Willapa Bay. Contractor to provide all labor, materials and permitting. Piling to be twelve inch diameter, galvanized piles, 40 foot in length, but a couple areas may require some 50 foot lengths. Survey currently being completed and will be included with solicitation document to reflect actual lengths required. Award will be for base bid item for a minimum of 18 piles, along with whatever funding is available at time of award for the remaining 18 piles and/or permitting requirement. If funding is not available to cover all items at the time of award, unfunded items could potentially be included by modification in the future if additional funding should arise.
