- Description
- Architect-Engineer (A-E) services for design of the STRATCOM Headquarters, including charrette/concept designs, schematic designs, planning, programming, site investigations, site surveying and geotechnical investigations, space planning, interior design, parametric and construction cost estimating. The project includes, but may not be limited to, administrative office areas, data centers, secure command and control facilities, secure backup facilities, auditoriums, conference center and rooms, VTC capabilities, cafeteria/food service area, server rooms, storage/maintenance areas, and other areas required to support the mission. The facility will have raised floors, extensive sensitive compartmented information facility (SCIF) areas and soundproof (STC Rated) rooms, special purpose areas, loading dock, mail receiving and distribution center, and communications, mechanical, and electrical support rooms for high-reliabiltiy utility support. Other features include intrusion detection systems, fire protection and alarm systems, connection to an existing communications backbone, electro magnetic pulse hardening, endurable backup power, and connection to existing utility infrastucture and energy monitoring and control systems. Supporting facilities include all associated utilities, parking areas, walks, storm drainage, detention basins, communications duct banks, and other site improvements. All required antiterrorism and force protection measures will be provided and may include structural hardening and barriers. Incorporate Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED).
