Description: N7351100001 - The is a pre-solicitation notice for a contractor to provide all labor, materials, expertise, transportation, equipment, permits, cranes, and all other incidental items necessary for the disassemble, crate, protect for shipment, and transport a Lockheed Jetstar, C-140B(VC), 61-2490 from the grounds of the Pima Air Museum, Tucson, AZ, (adjacent to Davis-Monthan AFB) to an aircraft exterior restoration and painting facility. Ensure exterior restoration and painting work is performed according to standards outlined in the scope of work matching the paint and decal scheme of the aircraft while in Presidental service. Crate and protect for shipment and transport, the Lockheed Jetstar, C-140B(VC), 61-2490 and reassemble on site at Lyndon B. Johnson National Historical Park in Stonewall, Texas. The Lockheed Jetstar, C-140B(VC), tail designator 61-2490 was used by President Johnson between the years 1963-1968. The Jetstar served as a back-up plane for the primary Jetstar, 61-2488. The aircraft was used to transport the President to and from the LBJ Ranch. The National Park Service anticipates entering into a firm-fixed price contract with a performance period of 180 days following Notice to Proceed. The NAICS code for this project is 488190 with a small business size stardard of $6.5 million. In accordance with FAR Section 36.204, the estimated price range for this project is $100,000-$250,000. Award shall be made to the contractor whose qualifications are technically acceptable and technical/cost relationship is considered most advantageous to the Government. Contractors are required to include a narrative response in 4 pages or less, that explains how the work will be accomplished. The contractor will also be required to complete the experience, general references and past performance questionaires, which will be attached to the solicitation.
