Description
This Invitation for Bid is for an AML Emergency Reclamation project sponsored by the Department of the Interior's Office of Surface Mining Reclamation & Enforcement, Appalachia Team in Ashland, KY. This contract is for the reclamation of the BETHEL WARD LANDSLIDE II emergency project located in Printer, Floyd County, KY. Solicitation S10PS00232. The work under this contract will consist of: Mobilization and demobilization of the contractor's men, equipment and materials. Excavation of landslide material, excavation for the preparation of a solid foundation, subdrain, and footer for a guardrail panel and rail pile wall approximately 125 feet in length, including wing-walls. Installation of approximately 125 feet of eight-inch HDPE subdrain, behind the rail pile wall foundation. Drill and grout 21 rails spaced on six-foot and three-inch centers on the drill bench. The installation, alignment, and grouting of 21 five-foot long, ten-inch diameter pipe to correct for the misaligned rail. Fabrication, placement, and fastening of a five-foot high by 125-foot long guardrail wall behind the grouted pipe. Placement of filter fabric behind wall panels and on soil behind the wall. Placement of rock backfill directly behind the guardrail and rail pile wall to cover the subdrain and provide passive protection against sliding material. Restoration of damaged concrete and damaged asphalt during construction and the revegetation of all disturbed areas. The estimated cost range for this project is $45,000.00 to $75,000.00 A PREBID/SITE VISIT CONFERENCE IS SCHEDULED FOR WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 21, 2009 @ 10:30 AM. PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS ARE TO MEET AT: The McDonald's Restaurant @ the Junction of KY Rt 80 and KY Rt 122, Martin, Floyd County, KY. An original hard copy of the completed and signed IFB along with completed Section K Reps and Certs and AML Contractor Information Form are due at the depository in 1405 Greenup Avenue, Box 5, Ashland, KY 41101 on October 28, 2009 @ 3:00 pm. Electronic and/or faxed bids will not be accepted. Contractors doing business with the Government are required to have a DUNs number, register in the Central Contractor Registration at ccr.gov data base and complete on line representations and certifications at orca.bpn.gov.
