- General Information: Document Type: Special Notices Solicitation Number; N/A Posted Date: 08 October 2009 Original Response Date: 21 October 2009 NACS Code: 335312 Motor and generator, generators Contracting Office Information: Letterkenny Army Depot, 1 Overcash Avenue, Chambersburg, PA 17201-4150 Description: Letterkenny Army Depot is seeking potential sources to acquire the services of leasing Emergency Power Generators 250 KW, 500KW, 1000KW, 1500KW Scope: The purpose of this announcement is to acquire the services of leasing Emergency Power Generators identified within this announcement on an as needed basis to accommodate changing power needs as they arise. Contractor must provide around the clock emergency service and must provide generators on site within 16 hours of request. The contractor must also provide Service Technicians certified to work on Emergency Power Generator Systems. Requirements: 1.The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and other items or services necessary to perform the work as defined except as specified herein as Government furnished. The Contractor will manage and perform all operations associated with providing Emergency Power Generator Systems on an emergency basis at Letterkenny Army Depot (LEAD) located approximately four miles from Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. 2.The Contractor shall manage the total work effort associated with the power generator services required herein to assure fully adequate and timely completion of these services. Included in this function will be a full range of management duties including, but not limited to, planning, scheduling and quality control. The Contractor shall provide an adequate staff of personnel with the necessary management expertise to assure the performance of the work in accordance with sound and efficient management practices. The contractor shall maintain an adequate workforce to complete work in accordance with the time and quality standards specified herein. 3.The Contractor shall establish a complete quality control program to assure the requirements of the contract are provided as specified. One copy of the Contractors Quality Control Program shall be provided to the Contracting Officer at contract start date and as changes occur. The program shall include, but not be limited to the following: a. A method for identifying deficiencies in the quality of services before the level of performance becomes unacceptable b. A file of all inspections conducted by the Contractor and the corrective action taken. This documentation shall be made available to the Government during the term of the contract 4.The Contractor and any Subcontractor shall comply with all the requirements of the current issue of LEAD Pamphlet 385-4 entitled Security, Safety, and Fire Prevention for Contractor's Performing Work on Letterkenny Army Depot, Chambersburg, PA and any additional requirement determined necessary by the contracting Officer. Please submit expressions of interest in your own format to include documentation of capabilities in sufficient detail for the Government to determine that your company possesses the necessary expertise and experience to compete for this acquisition. Since this is a SOURCES SOUGHT announcement, no evaluation letters will be issued to the participants. This synopsis is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, and no contract will be awarded from this announcement. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement.
