Description
This Sources Sought Notice (SSN) is not a Request for Proposal (RFP) and does not constitute a commitment by the Government. The Marine Corps Logistics Base Barstow (MCLBB) is seeking sources to perform testing and analysis of drinking water and wastewater at two sites under MCLBB. The two facilities are Nebo Annex and Yermo Annex and are located approximately 5 miles from each other near the city of Barstow California. The operations of the drinking water and wastewater facilities (2) at MCLB Barstow California must be performed in compliance with permits and orders issued by the state of California Department of Health Services (DHS) and State Water Resource Control Board (SWRCB). In accordance with these permits, testing of drinking water and wastewater for both the Nebo and Yermo Annex Facilities must be conducted to provide water that is safe for human health and wastewater discharges are regulatory compliant. This testing must be continuous and uninterrupted. In order to meet permit requirements, samples of drinking water and source control (wastewater) must be tested weekly for chemical and bacteriological parameters, while additional sample testing is required at intervals of monthly, quarterly, semiannually, and annually for both drinking water and wastewater. All tests must be run in accordance with accepted California State requirements, and all reports must be in the language and format required by the California Department of Health Services (concerning drinking water results) and the SWRCB. Any interested party must be within three hours travel of MCLBB due to time constraints for many of the required analysis. Firms believing they can provide these supplies or services above must provide written notification to the Contracting Officer with supporting evidence to that effect in sufficient detail to demonstrate the respondent's ability to meet the stated requirements. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Please submit response stating your company's interest and include the firm's Cage Code, Dunn and Bradstreet number (DUNS) and Tax Identification Number (TIN) and the attached Sample Analysis Price Request to Ms. Monica Sims via e-mail at monica.sims@usmc.mil.Information is due by 0900 (09:00 AM) PST on 23 October 2009.
