Description
Complete RFP for Antenna Solicitation This notice advises that a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for UHF/VHF antennas has been posted on the NAVAIR open solicitations web site at:http://www.navair.navy.mil/doing_business/open_solicitations/index.cfm. The advertisement.is for FSC/PSC 5985, NAICS Classification 334220, and Solication Number is N68335-10-R-0008. A partial description of the requirement follows (see attached RFP for complete requirements): NAWCAD Intends to acquire 345 each ultra high frequency (UHF) communications whip antennas for UHF line of sight (LOS) and VHF transmission and reception to work in conjunction with the currently fielded AN/PSC-5D and AN/PRC-117F radios. This is part of an ongoing requirement for a high performance, broadband, mobile V/UHF antenna that meets the salient characteristics in the published RFP: A partial list includes capable of spring mounted parasitically excited sleeve monopole UHF band with a whip element primarily for use with VHF, 30-512 MHz; an Impedance of 50 Ohms (nominal); a radiation of azimuth-essentially omni-directional (nominal); RF Connector Type “N” female Single feed connectors; RF Power with a minimum of 75 watts (cw) 100 watt maximum. The requested antennas will complete new SOTM systems and replace the existing antennas currently used within the SOTM project. Antennas will be MIL STD-810 and SINCGARS compliant. They must be compatable with the standard NATO vehicle mount template (4.5 inches diameter, four bolt pattern), and must be TAN in color. Complete salient characteristics are in the attached RFP document. All items shall be preserved, packaged, packed, and marked in accordance with best commercial practices. Delivery shall by 11 Dec 2009, and is based on an anticipated award date prior to 11 Nov 2009. FOB Destination. Units will ship to: St Inigoes, MD 20684, The closeout for this solicitation is 2 PM. 27 October 2009. Hard copies of this Combined Synopsis/Solicitation and Amendments will NOT be mailed to the contractors.
