Description
All interested parties are hereby notified of the FAA's intentions to procure engineering and technical services under upcoming Screening Information Request (SIR) DTFACT-10-R-00004. This requirement is to accomplish a variety of specific activities related to the FAA William J. Hughes Technical Center's Airport Technology Research and Development Branch. The William J. Hughes Technical Center is located next to the Atlantic City International Airport, New Jersey 08405. Overall period of performance will be 5 years in length. This is planned as a Full & Open competitive "best value" procurement requiring Cost and Technical Proposals at time of closing. The technical evaluation will be based on three (3) factors: (1) Airport Program Experience; (2) Personnel Qualifications and Corporate Experience; and (3) Management Experience. The NAICS code for this requirement is "541330" Professional, Scientific, and Engineering/Technical Services. The SIR is expected to result in a single Cost Plus, Fixed Fee, Level of Effort, Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity type contract award. Funding for this planned contract will be provided on individual delivery orders under the basic contract. The incumbent contractor is Galaxy Scientific, Contract No. DTFACT-05-D-00012. All inquiries to this announcement shall be submitted via e-mail only. Interested parties can access the following website to gain a more detailed understanding of the mission that the FAA Airport Technology R&D Branch provides at http://www.airporttech.tc.faa.gov. The William J. Hughes Technical Center is a secure Government Facility. All APersonnel must comply with FAA Security Requirements. No telephonic requests will be honored. The date and time of proposals shall be prvided when the planned SIR is issued within the October/November time frame. The Attachment #1 is the DRAFT Statement of Work and Attachment #2 is the DRAFT Level of Effort.
