Description
This is a sources sought notice and is not a request for proposals. This sources sought is to determine if there are 8(a) small businesses that are qualified and capable of restoring and renovating historical buildings on Fort Bliss. This work, when solicitated for, will fall under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). The Mission & Installation Contracting Command, Directorate of Contracting, Fort Bliss, Texas is seeking information to verify that there are qualified and capable 8(a) sources available to perform restoration and renovation of a Chapel on Fort Bliss. The Government is looking for those firms with experience performing historical building renovation and evidence that the contractor has complied with all laws and regulations when performing this work. The applicable North American Industrial Classification System Code (NAICS) code that this work falls under is 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction (Addition, alteration, and renovation general contractors, commercial and institutional building), Remediation Services with a size standard of $33.5 million. The majority of the effort will involve primary utility upgrades, asbestos abatement, and roof replacement. The magnitude of this project is expected to between $1,000,000 to $2,000,000 and the contractor must be able to obtain bonding in the form of bid guarantee, and performance and payment bonds. Those firms interested in providing information in response to this sources sought are requested to provide the following information to the Contracting Officer, David Wojciechowski at david.wojciechowski@us.army.mil and Contract Specialist, Tednette White at tednette.white@us.army.mil by the close of business on 19 October 2009: 1) Firm Name; 2) Firm Address; 3) DUNS/CAGE Code; 4) POC Information; 5) Size of Business (number of employees); 6) Bonding Capacity (single and total); 7) Annual Revenue; 8) List the States you have performed work in; and 9) Provide information on previous work performed renovating and restoring historical buildings to include: a description of the project, POC name and phone number/email address for the owner, amount of contract award, date when it was performed, and the numer of days it took to complete
