- Description
- The United States Geological Survey, Columbia River Research Laboratory (CRRL) in Cook, Washington requires the delivery and unloading of a new 60Hz - 100kW diesel generator to replace a currently owned 45kW generator. The 45kW generator will be traded-in to the vendor in exchange for credit against the new generator. For the delivery and unloading of the new generator, the vendor will need to supply a crane and truck. The vendor will also be responsible for the startup of the new 100kW generator, which will be mounted in the same location as the (trade-in) generator. All electrical pertaining to the functioning of the new 100kW generator will be connected to the existing transfer switch by a Washington state licensed electrician selected by USGS CRRL facilities liaison. Additional details will be available in the Request for Quote. The Government intends to award this requirement in accordance with the procedures of FAR Part 12, entitled, "Acquisition of Commercial Items." The Request for Quote (RFQ), number 10WRQQ0011, will be made available through the Government-wide Point of Entry (GPE) on or about 19 October 2009, in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) 5.102(a)(1). All firms must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database at www.ccr.gov, as well as, the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) to be considered for award. Responses must be in writing, by e-mail to the Contracting Officer at sklingler@usgs.gov. This notice and any resulting solicitation or contract conforms to the requirements in place through FAC 2005-36, effective 10 September 2009. NAICS: 335312 - Motor and Generator Manufacturing.
