Description
The Philadelphia Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) is seeking qualified professional design services from an architect/engineering (A/E) firm to develop work drawings and specifications for a project involving the expansion of the parking garage at the VAMC in Philadelphia located at 3900 Woodland Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19104. This project will require the A/E firm to investigate the existing site and make recommendations to expand existing parking structure. All recommendations shall be in accordance with applicable VA, JCAHO, NFPA, AIA and HIPAA guidelines. The A/E firm will be required to collaborate with various Department of Veterans Affairs Personnel to determine parking garage need requirements. Drawings concerning the existing conditions will be provided to the A/E firm. These drawings may not accurately reflect existing as-built conditions and are to be considered a guide only. Department of Veterans Affairs design manuals for each design discipline are available on the VA Facilities Management Homepage at http://www.cfm.va.gov. The A/E firm shall conduct a hazard vulnerability assessment and meet the latest VA design criteria. The A/E firm will be required to investigate all site conditions, including but not limited to existing utilities, relocate as required. The A/E firm will provide pedestrian and vehicular way finding system. The A/E firm will be required to provide parking access control, parking equipment and systems. The A/E firm will incorporate new and extend elevators into design if determined necessary by the VA. Type will be determined based on the number of stories constructed. Elevator bank will have one elevator on emergency power. The estimated construction cost of this procurement is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00. The NAICS Code is 541310. Interested firms shall submit a current SF 330 to the attention of Maureen Jordan, Contracting Officer (90C), Room GC104 (located near the library in the basement of the main hospital building (Building 1) of the Philadelphia VA Medical Center, 3900 Woodland Avenue, Philadelphia, PA by Thursday, November 5 at 11:00 A.M. THIS IS A REQUEST FOR SUBMISSION OF SF 330s - NO REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS IS AVAILABLE AND NO MATERIALS OTHER THAN SF 330s WILL BE ACCEPTED IN RESPONSE TO THIS NOTICE.
